Fearfully&Wonderfully Blog Number 1: Red Hot Fire Ants!

Summer can bring many fun adventures, but also some unwanted visitors too.  Whether it's mosquitos, bee stings, or other nasty bugs, homeopathy can help ease the discomfort of bites and stings.  This blog will discuss the remedy Ledum Palustre and a story of how it can be helpful for summer bites and stings.  Mosquitos, bees, but what about fire ants?  If you live in the south, you may know about these red hot biting ants.  Check out this success story from one of my students below!

"It happened while I was digging a hole for a blackberry bush. I had vaguely heard about fire ants but never encountered them. Hundreds of them came out of a hill next to the hole I was digging.

As soon as I realized what was happening, I ran to the house and took Ledum 200, 2 doses 15 minutes apart, hoping to quench the fire in multiple areas of my hands and ankles. It worked quickly. No blisters on the hands, 2 tiny areas on my ankles that I scratched the next day in hot yoga. They turned blue-ish purple. I should have taken another dose of Ledum. I was busy and forgot. (I poured boiling water on the hill/heap instead of using chemicals)."

Ledum Palustre 200C was a great remedy to use for this situation as this remedy is known for its action on puncture wounds from bites and stings or any type of injury that punctures the skin.  Ledum is effective in both a 30C and 200C potency.  In either potency, the remedy is given until the issue is resolved.

With Ledum Palustre on hand, you'll be better prepared on your summer adventures for whatever bugs might come your way.  Please remember that homeopathic remedies are medicine and must be used only when needed.  This blog is not intended as medical advice.  Instead, this story is intended for educational purposes only and for further study and conversation.  Please reach out any time you would like to talk more!
